Kitchell Employees Volunteer with Habitat SLO
On Friday, September 20, a team of dedicated employees from Kitchell’s San Luis Obispo office rolled up their sleeves at the Habitat for Humanity SLO County ReStore to celebrate their Founders Day of Giving.
Their day of service brought fresh energy, bright colors, and meaningful improvements to our store and community spaces. The Kitchell crew took on two big projects that will soon bring joy and opportunities to local families.
The volunteers carefully painted a custom playhouse, adding cheerful pops of color and creativity. This one-of-a-kind playhouse will be raffled off in the near future, giving one lucky family a whimsical backyard retreat while also helping raise funds for Habitat SLO’s mission. Kitchell employees also put their skills to work organizing and preparing the ReMaker Space inside our ReStore. This new area will provide the community with tools and workspace to repurpose furniture, learn new skills, and spark creativity. Thanks to their efforts, we’re one step closer to opening the space for everyone to enjoy.
At Habitat for Humanity SLO County, we are deeply grateful to Kitchell for making our mission part of their Founders Day celebration. Their hard work supports safe, affordable housing and sustainable communities right here in San Luis Obispo County.
