ReMaker Space Grand Opening
We’re thrilled to announce that our ReMaker Space at the SLO ReStore is officially open!
Our grand opening celebration brought together community leaders, Habitat supporters, and DIY enthusiasts for several ribbon cuttings! Representatives from the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, Paso Robles & Templeton Chamber of Commerce, and the South County Chambers of Commerce joined us to officially welcome this exciting new space to the community.
The ReMaker Space is a brand-new creative hub located inside the SLO ReStore, designed for makers, artists, upcyclers, and anyone who loves giving new life to old materials. Whether you’re repurposing furniture, crafting home décor, or experimenting with reclaimed wood and hardware, the ReMaker Space provides the tools, materials, and workspace to bring your ideas to life—all while supporting Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building homes, communities, and hope.
Now that the ribbon has been cut, the real fun begins—volunteer shifts are live and available! Volunteers help guide workshops, organize materials, and assist local makers with their projects. It’s a hands-on way to spark creativity, reduce waste, and make a lasting impact in our community.
